Fairfield (Draft) Local Historic District Design Guidelines

The town of Fairfield, CT has three local historic districts established by town ordinance.  The existing guidelines were in need of expansion, updates and revisions.  The guidelines are nearing completion and represent a complete overhaul of their previous guidelines.  They now offer a user-friendly interface for both applicants and commission members.

The historic property survey for the town of Mattapoisett was out of date and incomplete.  The last effort to document historic resources in Mattapoisett was in the late 1970s to the mid-1980s.  A historic property survey plan provided the Mattapoisett Historical Commission with a prioritized, comprehensive strategy for updating their survey. The full survey plan can be found on the Mattapoisett Historical Commission webpage.
